A plot I wrote for a possible DLC/Questline - The Fourth Era

Main plot

The Fourth Era

The guilds of 'Skyrim' attempting to expand their presence over 'Skyrim' once a peace-treaty is signed and mark the end of the civil war, the guilds seek to claim royal recognition by 'High-King Ulfric'. 'Ulfric' realize the increasing tension but is helpless in this fragile situation and ask for the 'Dragonborn' to intervene [unsuccessfully] while the 'Aldmeri' breaking the 'White-Gold Concordat' and casting out the war-torn Empire, The 'Aldmeri Dominion' launch a full invasion into 'Skyrim'. The Guilds unite in order to back the 'Dragonborn Union' and aid 'Ulfric' against the 'Aldmeri Dominion', the betrayed Empire join forces to take revenge on the 'Aldmeri Dominion' and put an end to their tyranny.

Among the many foreigners that find their way to 'Skyrim', the Union intercept a group of dragon hunters seeking to eradicate dragons. in fact they are being manipulated to assist a secret organization of 'Alderi Dominion' called the 'Aldmeri Mered', They are drawn to destroy the remaining dragons and trap their souls so they won't be able to return to life again, however, the 'Alderi Mered' obtain the soul gems in order to empower a long forgotten 'Daedric' being - 'Uoaz'.

'Uoaz' seek to leech the life out of mortals (dragons included) and claim the crown of Oblivion, the Daedric beings cannot do much inside Oblivion which is the reason for their interest in the mortal realm, the 'Dragonborn' uncover the secrets behind the 'Draugers' and the 'Gods'.

The Main front is failing against the 'Aldmeri' forces despite the odds, and the 'Dragonborn' will need to choose a side between an ancient dragon pact called the 'Durag'un' or the Dragon Hunters, convincing them to join 'The Union' in attempt to destroy the 'Aldmeri Mered' and terminate 'Uoaz'.

'The Union' uncover the reason behind their failure and the eminent powers of the 'Aldmeri Mered' and Uoaz, that poses an magical item that controls time but its too late, 'The Union' front is almost completely destroyed by the 'Aldmeri' forces once 'Uoaz' intervene boldly aided by the betrayed 'Durag'uns'/'Hunters'.

'The Union' is taking a desperate measure, they plan to fake the captivity of the 'Dragonborn' for a ceasefire, the plan is to have the 'Dragonborn' infiltrate their base of operations and destroy the time controlling artifact from within while the Union remaining elites will attack from the outside, the 'Dragonborn' encounter the powerful 'Uoaz' and force him to abandon the base and escape back to Oblivion along with the 'Dragonborn'.

The 'Dragonborn' is searching for 'Uoaz' in Oblivion aided by the 'Daedric' beings, in Oblivion the 'Dragonborn' powers are god-like but 'Uoaz' power from the mortal realm is putting it all up to test. The 'Dragonborn' destroy the soul gems that fuel the artifact inside Oblivion, In final attempt to survive 'Uoaz' reverse the time by draining a portion of his own soul in order to reverse time again but the artifact shatters and consume Oblivion.

The 'Dragonborn' escape back to the mortal realm and destroy the remaining 'Aldmeri Mered' - 'The Union Elites' killed everyone but their high priest 'Cefer' that collapse the base killing everyone in the collapse..the 'Dragonborn' is the only survivor is now heading back to 'Skyrim' crossing the border and get captured by the Empire..

There are plenty of possible features that can be implemented:

New shouts - Evolve (Dragon form/ siding with the 'Durag'un') or Devolve (Destroy any living creature/ siding with the 'Hunters')

Unique companion - Dragon/'Dragonborn' ally.

Loads of side quests for 'The Union' and the main front.

Behavior towards the 'Dragonborn' would finally be appropriate.
