Campaigner
Simple question here, but how do I edit the color of the spells? I followed the nif files and all directories to the used nif, "meshes/magic/fireballnvart.nif", but when I open it, it's just a white ball, and there's no colors to edit at all. I simply want to make a separate flame spell that's different colors, like green and blue and all that, but I can't find what to change. How do I go about doing this? Campaigner
kind of a necro bump, but better than posting the same question in a new thread. Still can't figure this out, and I want to make new flames so badly after actually experimenting with colored flames in real life.
Campaigner
I really dislike necro bumping, but I still need help. I can't figure it out for the life of me. EDIT: forgot to add this. I did get it so that targets affected by the colored spell have the colored burn, but the spell itself doesn't have that color. Attached is a shot of me using the green fire spell, with the projectile next to the burning target. How do I get the projectile to be the same color? I've reverse-searched everything in the CK, and I thought that the projectile would be that color as well, since the projectile nif file has no color or texture associated with it. EDIT2: Found a possible fix, but also a problem. The nif file "Data\meshes\magic\fireball01handeffects.nif" shows that it uses the "gradflame01.dds" texture, but there's no option to change it anywhere like in other meshes. How do I fix that? Otakufiend
Bumping because I am wondering what the solution to this problem is as well. I started my own thread before seeing this one...but instead of necro'ing that one I went to this one because it seems that it would be help to more than myself. And, if i recall correctly, Beth said that we would be getting "the tools" that they used to make the game...if that is the case I feel sorry for the poor saps that had to put new spells in the game. though we could all just be missing something so simple.
