ElijahHouck
Alright, I've got a bit of a problem. After generating (and regenerating) LOD several times in our Ethas worldspace, all of the mountain set pieces have always shown up purple (i.e. they're textureless). Everything else shows their textures correctly, but those mountain set pieces do not.Figured it out. The level 0 (highest level of detail) LOD mountains use a different texture set, which is outside of the /Textures/LOD folder that I had converted to .TGA. But even with that fixed, I have a couple more LOD-related questions: Any idea why I'm getting black lines when generating terrain textures?Any clue why trees aren't generating properly? They're all showing up in this weird straight line well to the east of where they should be (and there should be a LOT more trees than shown): http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7481262/Ethas%20Screens/Tree%20Fail.PNG I think it's funny that in Fallout 3, terrain meshes were a big problem and would crash the GECK in most cases. Now objects, terrain textures, and trees are the problem. Edited February 20, 2012 by EMH
mgbeach
This may be completely wrong, but maybe make sure the Hand Changed checkbox is checked on each cell's Common Data tab. I just happened to read that it overrides procedural generation and I thought of this thread.
ElijahHouck
Procedural generation is the creation of objects in groups of cells based on set parameters. My problem is currently with tree LOD generation, which is unrelated. ;)
mgbeach
Ah, gotcha. Wasn't sure how trees were generated since I've only messed with interior cells so far. And I was right about one thing: that I was completely wrong :P
mgbeach
Looks like maybe it's a fundamental issue with the CK (one of quite a few) Explanation of what's going on as well as proposed workaround at: http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1345519-creating-new-worldspaceshow-to-get-around-the-broken-ck-features/
