ElLocoQEsLoca
Hi, i'm Maxi. I'm a 12 years old boy from argentina. I made one 3D model of a Francisca (barbarian weapon) in my computer using GoogleSketchup. My question is: How can I put it into the game. I have the 3D model and the textures that I used. I need to know only that. (I couldn't put the pictures cause image shack is not working for me. If u know some other page like it, tell me) The textures are with photoshop. I did not put any light. Please, be honest, How did I did it? But returning to the main question: How can I put that axe into the game?

Check out the program NifSkope, which will allow you to create a nif file from your mesh and textures. Basically Nifskope is where the textures, collision, and meshes come together. You will have to export to NifSkope in an .obj file format I believe. You will also need to create normal maps for your textures, which is fairly easy to do. Also you will need nVidia's .dds plugin for Photoshop, which will allow you to export the textures into the correct format. Then finally you will need to grab the TES Construction Set over Here. From here you import the finished Nif into an actual weapon. Which then you can place in game. Hope this helps!

bben46
Welcome to Tesnexus Maxi, your English is excellent. I have been to Argentina and it is a beautiful country. No, I wasn't in the tourist places, I spent 12 days in San Juan. I found very few people who spoke English, but everyone was friendly and even though my Spanish is very bad I was able to get along well. I'm looking forward to seeing your mods on Tesnexus. lonezergling
Well, I use SketchUp for my modeling as well so I'll give you what I know. -You can't use the textures in SketchUp for Oblivion, you will need to create a UV map in Blender and apply textures through the DDS file. -Delete all the colors in the "In Model" selection in the paint pallet. This will allow you to see which way faces (normals) are facing. Right-click and reverse faces as needed, until they all are white. -Save your model. -Export your model as a 3d model. Select "Google Earth 4" format. -Go to your exported .kmz file. Rename it X.zip, X can be anything you choose, I use "a" just because it's quick. That file will become a .zip folder. -Inside this folder, go into the model folder. Copy the .dae file. -Save the .dae file somewhere. THIS IS YOUR MODEL FILE. -Download the Collada 1.4 Import/Export plug-ins for Blender. Import your .dae file using the Collada 1.4 Import plug-in. The rest, is up to you to learn. Blender's website not only has many guides, but so does the TESNexus forum. You will be able to find anything you need here. http://thenexusforums.com/index.php?showtopic=28076 ^^^ That link will lead you to everything you will need. Tools, tutorials, examples, and reference. Good luck and happy modding!
