I mean, anyone that uses a Windows PC is used to managing files into folders. What if the Pip-boy had the feature of creating and renaming folders?

To me, that would be the solution for inventory management.

You could use a folder for everything you're actually wearing, another for stuff to sell, another for holotapes, another for stuff you want to store later, etc. Once you have the folder you'll use, you just drag the item into it.

I agree with you some times when I want to wear a set of armor I have to look all over the place in the apparel section in the Pip-boy it would be great if I can but each set of armor in a separate folder in the apparel section.

DEF_INV can do something more or less similar. It can fold/unfold some objects of the same type. For example grenades, mines, armor, healing items, drugs, etc. Though if you don't like default categories setting up them for your taste may be quite difficult. Also can recommend Radrose Usability Enhancements in addition to DEF_INV, it contains more detailed rules for DEF_INV (among of other things).

But it doesn't allow you to manage folders freely, it just uses predefined rules for folding. And editing these rules may be a quite complicated task.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that Radrose Usability Enhancements currently uses older version of AWKCR - 4.02. But RUE is not needed to achieve what you want, just DEF_INV is sufficient.
