Mod Request for harder Insanity difficulty

I noticed this game is getting modded. Kool!! I haven't played much of MEA yet because I was waiting for a way to increase the SP difficulty of the game.

Could somebody please make a mod to increase the challenge of Insanity, maybe one or more of things like:

-enemies do increased DMG

-enemies have more health/shields

-players shield recharge is slower/more delayed

-xp is gained at a slower rate

Or at the least could somebody point me in the direction to learn how to mod MEA so I could try to mod it myself? :)

The mod tools are located here: http://www.nexusmods.com/masseffectandromeda/mods/224/? including some tutorials by munchyfly about how to get started using the tools, doing a simple texture change (which is not really want your looking to do)

Then theres this tutorial on modding weapon and power stats, and maybe other things: http://www.nexusmods.com/masseffectandromeda/mods/248

Then theres the discord channel for discussing modding and troubleshooting, basically a good source of info to be found there (at the right times of day): https://discord.gg/Q4uEtYB

Alternatively you could simply use rank 1 of all your gear, perhaps reset all your skill point and then pick a less powerful build :)

See I hate it when people say to do things like this, because that is like using half the game to play! I want a challenge where everything must be exploited to be able to win!

Next some one should suggest I try playing on Insanity with my feet, or better yet with no monitor!

Well my apologies then, didn't mean to offend lolz

The thing is that creating a proper Balance through a mod is not that easy, personally I spend the most of a day trying to figure out how to increase the amount of spawns as in my opinion it is set way too low in most cases, so I know where you are coming from, insanity is not nearly tough enough, well at least it is not balanced well enough, anyway even though I found the actual spawn data it was far from clear what I needed to modify to get the result I was looking for, there are just so many values and entry points that it would take forever to find exactly the right value

The same is the case with the NPC difficulty, there is a lot of info to go through and almost none of the entries are labeled in a way that makes it straight forward, so my point was simply, changing the way you play might be the easiest way to go about it atm ;)

No offence taken lol. What I meant was that I would like to play 100% of MEA or as close to it as possible, in terms of gameplay. Not 25% by limiting stuff.

Anyways, increasing spawns would be nice yes, that could actually be a simple way to increase difficulty, and possibly more aggressive enemies too :)

What stats are you talking about for NPC difficulty?

I have never made a mod for a game myself, do you think I would be able to dive into this modding tool and change values to affect the stats I desired as in my first post or is this going to be difficult?

I have modded for many years, but there are actually several elements in the ME:A modding that I have never tried before, so I almost feel like a newbie myself all over again :P , some things are hard to figure out and others are pretty easy to learn, but the only real way to go at it is simply to dive in and try things out, the good thing about the Frosty tool and mod manager is that they don't change the actual game files so you shouldn't be able to break your game in any way, though it can be a good idea to backup your save games, just to be sure they don't accidentally get corrupted

Also like Ehamloptiran mentioned, the Discord forum is a really good place to seek help for building mods

Sections in the Frosty editor you could try and look at could be:

Game/Global/Gameplay/EncounterManager

Game/ExcelDataImports/Base_CreatureStats

Game/ExcelDataImports/DefaultNPCStats

Game/ExcelDataImports/PlayerDifficulty

But it is really hard to see what does what as there are no real labels on anything
