Basic house building tips

That is a possibilty. The only problem is that I would need to have multiple loads to the different rooms which would kill the idea of player homes and guilds where every thing is supposed to be easily accessable. I remember how the Thieves Guild is divided into two parts, which is really annoying when you want to go back and forth between the areas and have to deal with a load screen. I suppose I could bring the SHT static into a 3D program and cut some areas out where I want to add changes. But I would have to be really carefull.

This is why I hate it when parts are made of a single piece or when parts are connected oddly. It makes it a lot harder to do anything new with it ( i.e. the Orcish Armor set).

You don't understand, if you have teleports between rooms in the same cell, there's a second of fade to black as you change from one spot to another, not a full on load screen.

Oh really? Well that is great news. That means I can add more rooms and repurpose old ones. Thanks for that one^^.

Bandit forts always seem to have lots of fur related items and low level gear. Iron and hide are common. Also, food items like meat and cheese and any alcohol bottles usually do the trick. Things that are trash items are good too like empty bottles and bows and arrows and other hunting and crafting supplies. Try looking at some of the ingame camps and look at the similarities. What do you have in mind for the fort? I always love to hear what other people are working on^^.

It's a fort, half bandit half spider. It's got some little storyline behind it. It's all part of my larger mod, Blacklight: Ira Deorum.

While I'm on the subject.. What are everyone's favorite enemies to fight? I like bandits myself because I play stealthily and they give some fun opportunities, but it makes no sense for all my dungeons to be bandit filled.

So it's mostly human stuff? Nobody likes fighting bears?

Personally, my least favorite thing to fight is the Draugr, because at higher levels they get the pincushion effect where I can pour 20 daedric arrows with sneak attack bonuses into a Deathlord and he's barely hurt.

At least with archery you have the ability to increase your base damage. In vanilla Skyrim, mages have it the worst. You max out at around lvl 20 or so. The second you get fireball and wall spells there is little more you can do. Thank God for mods though, otherwise magic would be really boring. To bad my computer sucks :/.

  • 1 month later...

I like to fight mages and warriors mostly. I am usually a mage myself and I like to put the lesser mage pretenders in their place^^. Warrriors are the archenemy of both mages and stealth characters so they just need to die XD.

I dont like spiders. Period -_-.
