SquallV
Hello again, I am currently trying to edit the malehead.nif mesh in blender. I had no trouble importing the mesh thanks to XunAmarox's awesome tutorial. But now I have a question about BP_ partitions. How do I find out what to name the BP_ partitions? Like I said, I'm working with the malehead.nif file. Using NifiSkope, I can see that the mesh is split into 3 partitions. The tutorial mentions using BP_TORSO. Does that apply to the head mesh as well? Thanks
SkjoldBjorn
the BP_TORSO i just a placeholder for skyrim partition, you can use BP_TORSO. BP_HEAD, BP_LEFTARM and so on, it does'nt matter what you use, because you will have to give it a partition number that is supported by skyrim afterwards anyway. BP_ is fallout partitions, but right now blender won't import or export skyrim nifs because we do not have the nifscript yet, so we cheat with fallout settings and then convert and modify until it works for skyrim by using nifskope. If you check the tutorial page here on this forum i pasted a list with the partitions there that you can see where the different partitions go. The mesh is probably split into 3 partitions because you of the decapitation we can do, there is partitions of it's own that decides where the wound on the neck will be when you cut it off.
