stebbinsd
I've downloaded mods that allow settlements to have larger populations. For example, this mod right here ... http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/1613/? ... allows me to have up to a thousand settlers in one settlement. Or at least, that's what it's supposed to do. All this mod really does is exactly what you could do with an in-game console command: Modifies a game setting called "iSettlerPopulationMax." The problem, however, is that the internal game mechanics of how the settlement system works just doesn't appear to accommodate that many people. The internal workings of the settlement system seem to be designed on the assumption that our settlements will only have a few dozen people in them. When I download this mod and try to use it to give myself hundreds of settlers, I run into glitches out the ass! I simply can't create a settlement that rivals Diamond City (who only has the population it does because it has about a hundred or so residents who only run around in circles and don't actually do anything other than contribute to the illusion of a high population) because he's only changing a single line in a single ini file without changing anything else in the game to accommodate it. Is there a mod that not only allows for hundreds of settlers, but actually modifies the internal mechanics of the settlement system so that the game doesn't become a broken mess if I actually have that many settlers?
