How to change weapon colour with the frosty editor?

Hello, i'm trying to change the grayish colour of the avenger assault rifle to a more black colour, but I don't know where to find that weapon in the frosty editor, and I don't know what to change to make it black, I would also like to know how to change the assault rifle's lights from red to blue, so if anyone could point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it.

Take a look here: game/weapons/wpn_asl/wpn_asla(avenger)/rig/wpn_asla_avenger_body_mesh

 

Under materials, shader, vector parameters is a whole bunch of shader params. Strip, Tint and Emissive should do it

There are multiple strips, tints, and emissive, do I edit them all or only one, and what do I change the values to - to make it black? also, is MP_Light the lights on the weapon? i'm sorry if this is a hassle - i'm not really that experienced with this stuff.

just give it a try, u can't exactly break ur game, i actually dont know which values, but im guessing setting all the strips, tints to make it black (but not 0,0,0 as that will make it pitch black, maybe a darkish grey, like 0.01 or something)

Whenever I am messing with tints, I typically use very bright colors to test how exactly things will look in the actual game. Once you have it visualized, you can put in the colors you actually want.

Here is an example using the pre-order AI assault rifle:

This was tinted by changing only tint a, tint b, and tint c colors to hot pink, blue, and pumpkin respectively. I didn't mess with the stripe color, and I don't know what those change. To test, you can change a stripe color to, again, something bright and noticeable, so you can see it in the game.

Be sure to use the color to float converter tool to get the float values you need.
