Looking for partner for music mods

Hey there,

firstly I want to apologize if it's the wrong section for that kind of stuff. Would be nice if a moderator would move it then.

I am Mayarilana, but also known as Vociferous on Youtube. I make many different kinds of music, be it electronic or orchestral, but related to the game I would like to talk about orchestral music. I recently started making music for Skyrim and I am looking for someone I can make mods together. I have no clue how to make mods as that isn't really my thing, or lets say I haven't spent much time in trying out. So what I look for is someone who has some knowledge about how to replace or add music to the game.

My first projects were a replacement for the main menu theme, I rebuilt the theme and made it sound more actionful as I used more drums and in addition I added a female choir next to the male one (we all know women are at least as strong as men, if not even stronger!).

Have a check here:

Also I have created a replacement for the Blackreach theme. It's not very actionful, but I made it sound very mysterious and slightly dangerous. It's my favourite area of the game, so mysterious, so awesome, such a privilege to be there!

I have no sample for listening yet, but feel free to download the file here: http://www.mediafire.com/file/jz9uf6whbvbaggl/Blackreach.mp3

If there is any modder interested in working with me, then just leave me a private message

Cheers!

Howdy!

I'm a fan of your work, so seeing this is fairly awesome.

You're definitely in the right place to signal collabs etc,

though you could also multipost to the "Audio" board and the The Lounge threads as well

though unfortunately I'm not so much involved with Skyrim as I am with Fallout stuff and all hehe.

I am sure a modder or 20 would clamor to collab though hehe.

If you were to become involved in fallout stuff...

that would be fairly awesome. I might be of some more use hypothetically there too hehe

FO4 is missing some of that 'ethnic folk music' and trance/dichordant electro and prog,

explorations of which were hallmarks of it in the past.

that, and 'damaged remix/"burroughs cutup or aural-palimpsest" decoupage,

where stuff like the damage and multiple recordings simul-play, which was scary in past titles.

----

some of the mods we're all working on for Skyrim and FO

are to enable livestreamable nodes in-game,

which would make playlist sharing a breeze, allowing you to point to your soundcloud/streaming host and then that to folks and handle it that way,

rather than manually encoding it for each game.

it also would allow manipulation of that from the in-game sound nodes,

rather than needing a set-one-time preamp/postmixer

AGI 'music cues" and soundboards are another project that are underway,

as are npc AGI voiceover soundboards and the like.

this'll allow near-real time acting and "Games Master" pathing or aural sequences,

much as pen-and-paper roleplaygames can have music cues etc.

in the meantime though,

overhauls/replacer audio mods are very popular too;

both per-track, and "the whole lot" versions too, so as folks can either Mix-n-Match without conflicts,

or if they try a couple and want the whole shebang, they can then load up a proper replacer.

Kristophsis is a really prominent mod music encoder on a lot of threads,

from NMM to ThisWeekInTech etc.

----

anywho,

thanks again for letting folks know,

and I am hoping that some awesome Skyrim modders will be able to assist to make this happen,

as it would be very awesome to mix-n-match with several Skyrim "language regionalization mods" too.

Thank you for the neat comment.

Unfortunately, I actually haven't played Fallout too much. I think I have played New Vegas for a half hour but that's it. There wouldn't be any problem in making custom music for that game aswell, but this would take lots of time.

Well, let me tell you about my point of view. I have been making music for few different games already with different genres. I don't lie if I say that I am actually able to create any kind of music, I do have the needed equipment and plugins for that. However, all those plugins were quite expensive and I surely have paid a total amount of 10,000 euros to have all those high quality instruments, choirs, drums and such. So my point is that I probably won't be investing time in making custom music for a game I haven't played that much, unlike Skyrim that definitely is at my top 5 games at the moment.

As I don't have eternally much of time, I mostly look for a little payment for my work if there are special requests for certain games or just own usage. Making a song might take up to a week of work.

After all, I don't think I will produce music for Fallout. I am here to make a custom music mod with someone and release it for free to honor one of my favourite games, but Fallout doesn't belong to it.

However, thank you very much for that comment, I adore when people tell me that they like my work. If you are interested, you can check through my Youtube channel, I use to make much of Dubstep genre at the moment, mostly mixing it with other genres. I enjoy making a mix of Orchestral Dubstep or something more unique: Jazz Dubstep.

Aaah, nice ending on the Skyrim video. It's feels like carefully laying down a sleeping child into it's bed. Thanks

Thank you

However, the ending is pretty much like the original

Here are some more auditions that might match to Skyrim
