gmg2dave
This just recently started to happen to me and I'm at a loss. What is happening is that while I am running around the scenery, buildings and even NPC's are not being drawn by the game. For instance, I'll be walking along and there is no scaffolding, trash, what have you and then suddenly they will all start to slowly fade into existence including enemies. So I can quite suddenly, find myself in the middle of an enemy outpost/camp/whatever, that literally was not there just a minute ago. I've tried disabling mods completely, I've tried turning down my graphics settings, I've validated the game, and nothing has helped. Still with the slow fade in of scenery as I am travelling. It is not just happening in areas where I get a frame rate loss, in truth, my frame rate never changes while this is going on. It happens in just about every exterior cell to some degree or other, including Far Harbor. It happens more in downtown Boston, but the same thing occurs even when walking around in the wastes, I will notice trees, bushes, and whatnot slowly fade in after standing still for a moment. It's like the game is playing catch-up to my character as she travels. And I have not edited or changed the speed by which my character moves, it's not like I'm buzzing about at high speed, this is just vanilla walking/running speeds. Anyone else have this problem, or know what might be causing it? It's really annoying and almost makes the game unplayable.
Wookie120
Not sure what is going on, but i have encountered a similar problem when returning to Sanctuary. I will get there and the bridge is just gone.
SMB92
Seems to me something is wrong come time to pull the mesh/texture from hard drive or RAM. Are you running an SSD? Any oddities with slow load times for other applications or Windows?
gmg2dave
Sorry for not replying earlier, RL hit me. I am not using an SSD for my game files, but I have not noticed any problems with any other games with loading times or anything like this happening. Even in Mass Effect Andromeda the textures/meshes have no problem keeping up with my movement in game. I've checked the disk and Windows is not reporting any errors with it for what it's worth. Just to give you a better idea of what is going on, one of my settlements got attacked, I think it was the Abernathy Farm. I fast traveled there and when I arrived, the only thing that was there, that the game rendered, was the base buildings. None of the buildings, turrets, or anything else I had added to the settlement where there. Not even the attackers. I just sat there and about 2 minutes later, the game started to render the stuff in, and poof! Bad guys. Even the settlers weren't being rendered. Walruscopter
I'm no expert but it does sound like something memory related. Maybe RAM or something.
