Moraelin
Ok, so in Oblivion, FO3 and NV it was easy. I'd just put my item in a crate, the crate in someone's shop, set the ownership to them, and that was it. Chet had enough crates from me to fill one of those Indiana Jones warehouses, and it just worked. So now I'm trying to get Beirand, the smith in Solitude, to sell my axe. I clone his crate, chuck most stuff out, place my axe in it, place it somewhere in the smithy, set ownership to Beirand. Should work, right? Nope. The dude just doesn't sell it. I tried setting the ownership to the Solitude Blacksmith faction, same as the house... nope, still doesn't sell it. Solitude bits and stuff faction? Nope. Set the weapon in the crate to belong to him too? Nope. He just won't sell the damned thing :/ Is there some new trick that I missed please? Grand93022
Creating a Merchant Tut may help, but AFAIK I would make a new faction (like MyWeaponMerchantFaction) for that container and add that to the merchant's factions.
Moraelin
Thanks, I'll try that.
Moraelin
Nope. No matter what I do, Beirand won't sell the darned things. Although if I add the faction and merchant job to his apprentice, he does sell them. However, now I'm seriously not sure if that won't cause a conflict with anyone else editing the apprentice. Has anyone please ever tried adding more items to an existing merchant? Please?
