Returning to Skyrim SE - Would appreciate your thoughts

I have been waiting until SKSE is done, but it appears that's not going to happen anytime soon. And then I found out that SKY UI has a non-SKSE version. That was really my only must have Mod before I started up a new SE game.

But it has still been over 2 years since I last played. Most of the mods I had have changed.

Could I get some recommendations for mods that are a close match for the following as I remember them?

Sky UI (or equivalent)

Deadly Dragons

Basic Human Needs

Climates of Tamriel

Water Mod

Skyrim Immersive Creatures

Additionally, what is recommended for a high end system (Fury X) for graphics? Do the texture overhauls enhance what is on SSE or do they overwrite them completely?

Thanks!

Ok...

For deadly dragons there are mods that make dragons tougher. Just search 'dragons' in nexus search and they'll come up. You could also use Diverse Dragons.

For human needs I'd recommend iNeed

Climates of Tamriel is available. You may also want to consider vivid weathers or dolomite weathers

For water if it's just textures use realistic water 2

No direct replacement for immersive creatures but you could use Beasts of Tamriel. Also some good standalone enemies have been made by MihailMods

Hope that helps

As far as textures go, it's the same as Oldrim. Texture packs overwrite the default textures. What they did for textures for the SE was to upscale them in an image program, but many of them don't look too great, so you'll want to stick with your favorite texture replacements.

Many/most textures from Oldrim work. The ones that do NOT work are landscape textures because those now need to have an alpha channel; landscape textures without an alpha channel are "shiny" and look bad, so be sure to use landscape textures specifically for SE. If you used Noble Skyrim, be aware that the author has not made an SE page, but there is an SE version on the Oldrim page, so you can get it there. Noble Skyrim is one of the most complete packs around, and I highly recommend it. There are also other major texture packs on the SE Nexus page, so be sure to look for those.

The thing to do would be to look up your favorite Oldrim mods, and then go to the author's Nexus portal and see if they have uploaded an SE update.

"Basic Human Needs" "

I use "iNeeds". Really easy to work with. Can change the game timescale to slow things down and adjust how often your hungry using the spell given.

"Simple actions" lets you lie down anywhere and take a nap when iNeeds says your tired. uses another spell to cast.
