I don't know about you, but I find it a bit un-immersive when I get shot and am able to heal myself by drinking some water... not to mention that it doesn't make a lot of sense that I can go through the entire game without drinking any water. I would like a mod that aims to fix this. A simple mod that adds two new health bars, a thirst bar, and a hunger bar. Receiving any form of vanilla damage would decrease the original HP bar, while the other two decrease with time, and are replenished by drinking water, and eating food. This would have the effect of separating the food from the medical supplies. Some items might even be able to replenish both bars, in the same way, that a weapon can deal both energy and ballistic damage, so might a watermelon cure hunger and thirst. Perhaps there can even be some interaction between the bars (for lack of a better word), for instance, maybe as you get hungrier, you can't run as far.

While we're on the topic of medical supplies, a wider variety of medical supplies might be useful with this mod. For instance, stimpaks are OP, they shouldn't be able to heal a broken leg, you would need a cast (hint hint). Easily craftable bandages would also make sense (cloth and adhesive?), these might stop open bleeding (which I am pretty sure would have to be added, but would be cool).

Overall, this mod might have the effect of forcing you to think about your vitals more, "I better eat a steak because otherwise, I can't run as far" "if I don't find some water soon, I might die" "I'm running low on casts, better be more careful otherwise I might be stuck with a broken leg". It would be an excellent (and relatively easy to do (maybe, I don't know how to make mods)) immersion mod.
