Do DAO Mods Still Work & DAO Modder?

Recently bought DAO and been playing a little, but want some mods with it. Mainly looking for mods that affect my character alone, and maybe a few npc mods, but none that change their looks of npcs. I mainly just want mods that give more custom character options, new hair styles ETC, and maybe that re spec crow mod.

Yes. DAO mods 'still work'.

What mods to use is a very subjective thing, and I think the best advice anyone can give is to look through the listings here and old!Bioware Social.

I'm not familiar with 'DAO Modder', but I used DA Modder very briefly a number of years ago and know many people who still swear by it. (My personal preference is for DAO-ModManager, which I find to be more robust and versatile.)

Thanks for the reply. Are there any update mods like No Starting Abilities, or does it still work despite the comment section back in 2010.

I've never used No Starting Abilities (and haven't read the comments, so nothing to offer there...). I have used a similar mod, Advanced Party, but that one also affects followers in addition to the player character.

Thanks for the replies. Can you recomand any other mods, I'm doing my best kinda of, doing a nod mod play though, I only use the advance part and more hair styles.

But I might end up going full modded.

Are there any mods like AP, that let u pick u own attributes, so example I was a mage and I don't need str etc for cretin class. What i mean is, is there a mod that lets you pick your own attributes during character creation?

You mean the base attributes for each race? No, I don't know of a mod that frees those, but of course that doesn't mean there isn't one... it's just not something I'd ever use. (It's not believable to me that anyone would have, for example, 0 STR or no DEX at all, but I'm just a stupid old woman and not a real gamer and what do I know... /shrug)

And in my sig you'll find a link to my modding recommendations ('KH mods DAO'). The categorised series is incomplete, but there it is.

Thanks for the reply, I will check out those mods.

Truth be told, I could careless about base attributes, just was curious if there is or was a mod.

I don't think there's a mod for adding more abilities before character creation, it would be nice if I could make a character and max out the talk skill, and others. But If I really want to guess I have to use counsels.

Curious on something. How come my origin account doesn't have the blood dragon armor, but my steam account does. I original bought it for steam, and found out u can use the keys on origin as well.

I wonder if I can use both origin and steam accounts, steam one would be fully modded, while origins would be only the 3 mods I'm using now.

Two suggestions:

1. Have you checked under the "Extra Content" link on the game title in your Game Library on EA/Origin? Look for the words "Download Now", or something like that.

2. All the "promo" DLC offered by EA are still available for free here: BioWare Dragon Age Promotional Items Giveaway.

You can still obtain them *if* you had registered your game with BioWare/EA in the first place, and can still log-in to your BSN account. I can, but I know others have forgotten their passwords, or never had a BSN account in the first place.

(Note: IIRC, a couple of items tied exclusively to 3rd-party products are not included.)
