whatthefurf
Hey all, This just started happening tonight after two weeks of great sound. It seems that every sound effect is working except the footsteps while I am running, walking, or crouching, and only with my weapon sheathed. The footstep sounds come back when I have a weapon (of any type) drawn or while in first person (sheathed and not). Jumping sound always works. The only sound mod I have is Sounds of Skyrim. This has worked fine for a week now.I have zero weapon mods.Had an outdated Realtek driver, the sound worked great for the two weeks I've owned the game. Updated the drivers today after finding this problem, no luck.I have Logitec G35 headphones. The footsteps are still broken while using them as well as my desktop speakers.I tried re-caching the steam files, no luck. The latest mod I installed before noticing this was the Realistic Smoke and Embers mod by Isoku. Uninstalled, problem is still persisting. Other people are having this issue as well, see these related threads: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/553249-why-cant-i-hear-my-footstep-while-running/page__p__4493441__hl__footstep__fromsearch__1#entry4493441http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/487884-no-footstep-sounds-play-when-running/page__p__3988016__hl__footstep__fromsearch__1#entry3988016 This is really ruining the experience for me. Anyone encounter this problem, or might know of a suggestion or fix? Thanks,Furf

whatthefurf
That would be it! I deleted my meshes and textures files in Skyrim/Data. Have to reinstall all the other mods I am using, but that's no big deal. Many thanks for helping me out Ravanara.

Anyone encounter this problem, or might know of a suggestion or fix? Thanks,Furf hey people, I recently fix this no footstep sound when weapon sheathed... This is how to fix it:1. DON'T uninstall CHSBHS2. download another mod at http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/35035/?3. install it using NMM4. when prompt to overwrite file from CHSBHS just click "YES" make sure you DONT click "YES TO ALL". READ IT CAREFULLY!! because it may overwrite your other mod such as ur bow idle animation, skeleton, etc..5. To be safe, just click "YES" when it overwrite file from CHSBHS6. play the game I hope your sound issue will fix and sorry for my bad english.. it has been awhile Im typing things in English.. Good Luck and let me know whether your problem fix or not.. Cheers,Sawari
