Deleted1210814User
Yeah... I have this odd bug where I crash when I'm going to Dead Men's Respite. I crash from going to Dead Men's Respite, walking/running to Dead Men's Respite, riding a horse to Dead Men's Respite, and etc. I don't have any mod that alters the appearance of Dead Men's Respite or anything for your information (and I also tried disabling all mods, but that didn't work either). I've already been to Dead Men's Respite before by the way. Anyone else having this error?
slavina
I just started having the same problem. I am running the game on the max settings, with the high res pack, fully updated with 8Gbs RAM, i7 2700k CPU, asus 560 GPU (built myself), skyrim is installed on a SSD using steam. Heavily modded, never had a crash before. I have ridden my horse past DMR in the past before and discovered the location (same as above), stepped inside it once or twice with no problems but immediately left because I didn't want to finish the Tending the Flames quest. ~80 hours of perfect gameplay up to this point, with the tending the flames quest being accept for quite some time (also accepted it well before discovering the location). Today, I fast traveled to DMR and a dragon attacked. Had several CTDs when fighting the dragon. Entered DMR, had some longish (not normal) loading screens and almost CONSTANT CTDs. I tried disabling all my mods, running steam in offline mode to no avail. Sometimes I could start skyrim and play a minute or two from a save inside DMR without a crash, but sometimes it crashed on the loading screen of a save in DMR, before the game had loaded properly. I went to a previous save from before I had fast traveled to DMR and all was fine - no CTDs at all, loading screens fine, fast traveled to different areas, talked to NPCs, etc. perfectly fine. It sounds like the exact same issue as the poster above. I doubt this is a mod related issue because I disabled my mods before visiting but it could be, i suppose. I guess I will avoid the area for now and forgo my bardic ambitions. Edited April 26, 2012 by slavina
