Aye, so I'm a nubber. I finally have a PC that will run Oblivion (I've been a long time Morrowind addict), and I'm wanting to get into running some good mods. I stumbled across a really good tutorial/walkthrough the other week which had some GREAT info on installing Oblivion fresh and setting it up w/ all the appropriate orders, steps, etc. It was someone who was doing a fresh setup, and thought it would provide useful to do a writeup/walkthrough on it.

It totally was, but I forgot to bookmark it. I've searched the Nexus site and the forums, but am having problems locating it. Would some kind soul please post a link for this great walkthrough? I'll love you forever :D

Also, if anyone has a particularly good UI mod recommendation, I'd love to hear it.

Thanks a ton!

No, although that seems like a great article! Thanks for posting it.

The article/post/whatever I read was a fellow who was reinstalling Oblivion from scratch, and was adding all the mods he wanted. He explained the how and why of setting up Oblivion with mods in place, went over essential tools, listed his start up order, etc. It was pretty long and in depth, and said something essentially like "Hopefully by detailing my procedure here, I can help some people out". And it was absolutely helpful.

I've been doing a ton of reading over the last couple of days on modding, and I'm still a bit mystified. I think this article explained exactly how to get FCOM working, where to place everything, etc. And while I've found most of that information, spread out over various articles and websites, it was helpfully written and explained on his writeup. I remember it answered silly questions that I still have (but which I don't remember the answer to), such as, with FCOM, do I need to have each individual component installed (MMM, OOO, etc.)? Or, how the crap does Wrye Bash work?!?

:D You get the idea. Any more helpful links (esp. if you think you know the article or post or w/e) would be awesome. This community seems great, and I appreciate your input, folks!
