Adipose Posted July 1, 2017 Share Posted July 1, 2017 Speaking strictly for me, I'd think that actually using a Katana one handed would call for enormously strong arms and wrists, in addition, the ergonomics of the blade don't lend themselves to one hand use. I've owned around ten real ones over the years and they aren't well balanced nor light enough for me to use one handed. Oh, it can be done, it's just not very comfortable.
