Fuzzpuff Posted July 1, 2017 Share Posted July 1, 2017 So I doubt that I'm the only one who's thought this before, but it really irks me that 99% of the locks in Skyrim will only give xp the first time you unlock them. My frustration is twofold: 1) I find this highly unimmersive. Go watch YouTube videos of people picking locks. How did they get that good? By practicing over and over again on multiple locks. They didn't just stop practicing on a lock once they figured it out. They kept going until they had mastered it and still practiced to keep their skills up. 2) This trait is 100% unique to the lockpick skill. Literally every other skill can be turned legendary over and over again by doing the exact same thing over and over again. Only pickpocketing is similar as most friendly npcs don't appear to regen their loot. I've looked high and low for a mod that allows characters to gain xp from lockpicking regardless of how many times they've picked a particular lock and found nothing. Just that and nothing more. There are plenty of skill mods out there that handle the other intricacies/imbalances. Have I simply overlooked in my searching? Is there a reason a mod like this couldn't be created (I know literally nothing of creating mods so I accept this could be a possibility)?
