Athyra
So I want to delete Juggernaut and replace it with some other perk. Seems easy.I open the CK.I make a new perk with my desired effect.I go to the skill tree and swap out juggernaut with my new perk.,I save it. Load my game. The new perk is there, tree looks good, everything is great. But wait. Juggernaut is still giving me an armor bonus! So I use the removeperk command and remove it, and my armor score goes down.So I think okay no biggy I'll just delete it in the CK so other people who use my mod wont get weird behavior with invisible ghost perks giving unseen benefits. I open my mod, go to perks, select the juggernaut perks, delete them all.Load the game, .... SURPRISE! They are all still there! Not deleted! And still giving their armor bonus and still removable and addable! How on earth do I delete a perk so it's actually gone? Or make it so it stops giving it's effect?? Thank you for any help I get. Athyra
really? no one has had this problem or knows how to deal with it? it's kind of a major problem for anyone wanting to mod skills... ps. I'm not just being lazy here. I searched in every possible way I could and found nothing. :(
Reforged
Have you tried rolling back to an earlier save to see if the changes to your mod behave as desired? I have had some issues with modding and saves. I am no expert, but I do have an old save that I use for testing my mods. I think some information gets stored with the save file that can't be undone even if you remove the element from the mod that issued it. I'd load a save that was before your mod (and with your mod loading) and see if the perk is deleted then. Perhaps if the old save sees the mod for the first time it will work as intended? I like the idea but I'm not sure how to test that.If my save has a perk chosen that I want to remove, then when I load my mod, even though it's invisible I still get it's benefitsIf my save doesn't have the perk that I want to remove, then there is no problem when I load my mod since players can't choose it.Another thing I don't like is that players can STILL do player.addperk oldRemovedPerkID in the console to add a perk that I wanted to disable :(
Athyra
I found the CK solution. in the "open" section, click details, select the entries you don't want, press "delete" on your keyboard, this will ignore it when it loads.load it with the ignored entriessave it without them done! love the CK but that thing needs WAY better documentation lol
