RevApoc
Hello there. I am trying to alter the Raiders of FO3 to have them behave more like the Giants or Mammoths of Skyrim; only attacking when provoked and not on sight. I would also like to raise the flee factor so that enemies flee more often after taking some damage. If I could I would just check out the confidence/aggression values of the Giants/Mammoths, but I can't because I don't have Skyrim on PC. I apologize if this is simple, I am at work and cannot check anything with the GECK right now. What I am going for is to bring some more realistic rationale to the Raiders by going with more of a "reactive" confrontation instead of "proactive". I got the idea from the upcoming game "I Am Alive", in which not everyone just comes at you swinging, especially if they are holding a pipe and you are holding a gun. I think that by using a Mod like this in combination with a realistic damage mod, and also a scarce ammo mod (to make ammo more important), it will definitely feel more realistic to land a couple of shots on a guy and have him stop charging at you like an idiot. If anyone could help me out with this, I would greatly appreciate it.

rickerhk
If they are faction neutral to the player, set their aggression to 'aggressive' instead of 'very aggressive'.
RevApoc
I think the info on this page might have something to do with what you want AI Data Tab Thanks for the response. I actually had that page up last night when I was testing with a Raider. One thing I am having a problem with is the "Aggro Radius Behavior". I checked the box and set a value (tried 40 then 20, I have no idea the measure of distance), but there must be another factor involved because the Actor never went into Warn mode. If they are faction neutral to the player, set their aggression to 'aggressive' instead of 'very aggressive'. I haven't tried messing with the faction settings. I'll give that a try tonight. I did change aggression to "Aggressive", so I was able to walk up to the Raider without a skirmish, and I also changed him to "Average" for his Confidence. All I have to do at this point is figure out the Aggro Radius, and then figure out how to make it so that all Raiders behave this way... or at least most of them... then I will be all set.
