Fallout 3 FWE Help

So, I recently installed the FWE mod on Fallout 3 GOTY (Steam), but it seems that every time I try to sleep after modifying my character (Alternate starting), the game crashes; is there anything I can do to fix this?

 

Also, when I start another save (that has passed that part), my character is unable to approach Megaton without the game crashing...

Is FWE the only mod you have installed? If not, then it would help people to help you if you post your load order, prefferebly copy/pasted from the page that BOSS presents to you after you run it ^_^

 

If FWE is the only mod you have installed ( other than Unofficial Fallout 3 patch and Fallout Remastered of course ).... well who am I kidding, people who only install 1 mod don't exist, and if they do they probably never have problems to post about :laugh:

You can try deleting the save games ending with .fos in the name. These are backups but also they are autosaves. An amount of the game automaticly loads when it's launched, this is connected to the continue button, which also suffers some coruption issues. Though these issues as well as autosaving an quicksaving vary greatly from one players computer to another.

 

A big red flag here from what I see is that the GOTY edition even though is technically 1.7 already. People say to patch the game to 1.7 anyway because it resolved some issues. The other large problem is new players forget the load order an think it doesn't matter. Last starting a new game after you install a mod is the best bet in most cases, but widely ignored.

Make sure you have Darndified supports installed that might help as well. I believe there are two. An original and one for FWE support.
