Icarus963
Hey. I have request for a mod that will allow you to start game over again, but with the level you currently have and all items you had. You could also store them in megaton house without disappearing. Also can you make it compatible with all the DLCs ? That includes point look out, mothership zeta, the pit and the brotherhood of steel.
caramellcube
I don't think it's possible to store variables in Fallout 3 in a way that persists even after restarting the game, not sure if FOSE can do it but if not, the only way I can think of to do this is to move the player to the Vault 101 cave entrance and run a script that goes through every variable, quest, and named NPC and resets them all to their starting values. Of course this may cause problems for 2 reasons1) Objects might be deleted to save memory once they are no longer needed, so there might be quests that can be completed only once2) Having the keys for everything and potentially a load of quest objects means the player can bypass parts of quests, which the scripts might not be able to deal with.If it was done this way, it could fit into the world by having a hidden research facility under a millitary ruin somewhere containing an experimental time machine that the player can use to backstep to the day they left vault-101.Anyway, I doubt I'll be able to put in the time to do this myself, but hopefully this might be usefull to anyone else who wants to try. redeyesandlonghair
You could do it with globals I think....... a whole...whole lot.... like a whole..... like a buttload of globals.... like seriously I think you would need a global for every item in the game....... so.... really not worth it.... better to just cheat yourself up with the console when you start a new game.
