Luscilla
It's completely random too, sometimes it's when I'm just walking through the great forest, sometimes when I loot another character or creature, it crashes when their inventory comes up, or when I'm entering a new cell. Sometimes the game is shuttering right before it crashes. I have to alt+ctrl+del to exit the game because it crashes on exit, but the crashes in game have became worse since I've been doing, so maybe it's linked. I'm using the GOTY edtion. I have OOO, MMM, reall hunger, real sleep, real thirst, and bedrolls installed, along with Shivering Isles. I also have OBSE.
bben46
It's possible your graphics card is overheating. The time delay before crashing usually indicates a heat problem. Please post your system specs so we will have a better idea of what to look for.
MufasaCasinos
I was having a similar problem while using the Pegasus mod. I attributed it to the fact I was trying to force my computer to load the graphics more quickly than it was capable. So there is a good chance bben46 is correct in his diagnosis. You might try turning down some of the more cosmetic settings and see if it still happens. I have also had similar problems caused by conflicting scripts (especially with the improper use of OOO and MMM together).

Vagrant0
AMD Athlon 5000x dual core, 2 gb of ram, and an Nvidia Geforce 8600 GT with 256 ram, on windows XP. I have the graphics at ultra high.Set to ultra high on a card with 256 ram... That sounds like the possible reason right there. Set your graphics lower, disable grass, shadows, and use simple water reflections and see if that makes a difference. Not only will this reduce the chance of it being due to overheat, it will also reduce the frequency that your videocard has to load and unload resources (which may be the reason for the crash, or atleast boost fps). Luscilla
I've been playing this game for nearly 35 hours on the same settings without any problems.
Vagrant0
I've been playing this game for nearly 35 hours on the same settings without any problems.Crashing every 30 minutes is hardly what I would define as "without any problems". What exactly do you mean? Have you recently added a new mod or changed something? In the case of OOO, and MMM, they add additional things to the game which might be kicking you over what your videocard can work with reliably. Remember, every unique texture needs to be loaded every single frame that models containing that texture are loaded. More NPCs/creatures, types of equipment, ect can put a greater load on your videocard. Until you lessen the possible strain on your videocard there is no way to determine if something else (bad scripts, broken mods) is to blame. Luscilla
I meant I didn't start having any really bad problems untill around 25 hours, not 35 hours. I don't know why I said 35. I did lower the graphics to high, but the game still crashed. There was less shuttering, but only by a small margin. But I am not lowering the graphics any further. I played the 360 version for 2 years, so I can't play with less graphical detail now. When I was using only OOO, there where fewer crashes, with MMM it increased slightly, but the four newest mods I've gotten it's increased alot. Real sleep, real thirst, real hunger, and bedrolls. I disabled real hunger and noticed less crashes. Also, I was using more wilderness life and more wilderness life no gates that came with MMM, I disabled one of them. Would you like to see my load order?
dyfed99
Would you like to see my load order? This could help! But more mods you load, more Ram you need, more Cpu work and more crashes you'll have.I'm afraid that's the rule for Oblivion..
