Zavek00
what cards are you running since im using a Radeon and i have no jittering mouse and yes this game is a consoleport it stinks so far away that whales are suffocating and jump on japanese whaling ships and beg for a quick deaththe engine began as a PC, then it tasted console, and console is like skooma it addicts you but its so s***. in fallout3 iirc first run with this old engine on consoles it was bearableNew vegas it got worsenow skyrim, it really feels as if im running an old PS1 game on an emulator with the controlls, why cant we assign the Fkeys to the varius hands? we got 12 of them thats 6 quick keys per hand ffs! so honestly to the bethesda trolls that prolly lurk here GET US A FKING CONTROLL AND UI THAT IS PC OPTIMIZED, to rely on player content to fix these things on pc just makes you look LAZY but back on topic how much are you running in the background?, do you have heat issues?(laptop issue). when was the last time you cleaned the inside of your computer and how fragmented is your harddrive? how much are you reading/writing to your hardrive at the sametimes as you play skyrim?i wouldnt be suprised if a basic maintinence of the pc would bring up its performance and possible solve the mouselagthough i feel that the mouselag is caused due to the game is not using 1 input device(controller) for controlling but 2 on PC(mouse/key), anyone running PC witha Xbox/ps3 controller that could tell us if the cursor lags ingame with those inputs? SergeantGrrock
It's funny you should bring this up as several hours ago I updated my graphics drivers and the first thing I noticed was better mouse response in game. Interesting. But I bet you still get the jitters. Especially indoors. Right? My graphics drivers are up to date and it still feels so bad... Without question. Mouse response is still jittery but better after driver update.Isn't it aggravating? It's VERY aggravting. It's my single biggest complaint about Skyrim right now. That's why improvement was welcome. Im my case I'm all over this stuff. I have always kept a tight ship when it comes to my PC. When I play a game like this it's pretty much all that's running. FO3 and FONV both run smooth as silk on my machine but Skyrim started out terrible (as far as mouse response) and has slowly become tolerable with game patches, driver updates and mods. Staind716
Skyrim is not a console port, yo. Only a small number of elite gamers have supercomputers. The rest have low to mid end systems or even play on notebooks. Many have consoles. But just because the game was designed to run on my mid-end PC and not your supercomputer, doesn't make it a console port. There wouldn't even be a CK if that were true.Just wtf are you talking about? You're not making any sense. If the game was actually designed to play on lower end rigs, performance wouldn't be an issue in the first place. But I'm not talking about how well optimized Skyrim is. I'm talking about how the mousespeed is tied to the FPS. Meaning the mousespeed changes whenever the FPS (frames per second) changes. This should not happen. The mousespeed should be completely independent of the FPS. Which is why you get the jitters when you have v-sync off since the mousespeed is fluctuating along with the FPS. And Skyrim isn't a console port? I smell a candy ass fanboy. Firstly, the UI sucks ass. Holy s***. One of the worst UI for a PC game I have ever seen. Secondly, there is this fundamental issue of HAVING THE MOUSESPEED BEING TIED TO THE FPS. Those two reasons alone make Skyrim a shitty console port. I mean, why the f*** can't I quickly switch between dual wielding weapons and spellcasting? Why must I re-equip my weapons by opening up the favorite bar/inventory? That's f***ing bull s***. This game did not have the PC in mind at all. It caters heavily to the console crowd. Good thing we have a lively and creative modding community. Skyrim ain't s*** without the mods. This one I can not train. Much anger in him..... See kids, this is what happens when you forget to take your medication. Rennn
Yeah, it's a console port. I soooo wish this had been made on the CryEngine or Frostbite 3 engine, but I suppose Bethesda doesn't have the rights to those, and they probably didn't want to pay royalties for the use of a better engine. Those may not have worked for an open game like Skyrim anyway, I guess. Oh well. We have Skyrim now, and instead of going on a hate rant you can either give up, or search for a fix. There's no point in getting into a forum swearing contest to see who can get banned first.

Not enough people are up in arms about a flaw that should never be a feature in any game. There are no fixes for this at the moment. There probably won't be a while since it is rather complicated to deal with. Nothing I have said is false nor are they exaggerated. And everyone (including you) except for a few b 1 tch made fanboys agrees that Skyrim is a shitty console port. I really hope some master programmer fixes this issue, Edited February 24, 2012 by GrandMastaPimp

xlcr
@grandmasta, i read about people making a tweak to:%USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Skyrim\SkyrimPrefs.ini which they said fixed in game mouse response issues, look for [Controls] section and try changing to setting: [Controls] fMouseHeadingSensitivity=0.1250 for reference, i think the vanilla game default is: fMouseHeadingSensitivity=0.0125mine (asus g73sw-a1 laptop w/asus mouse) was automatically set to: fMouseHeadingSensitivity=0.0200 for sluggishness in menus you might try tweaking the value of [interface]: [interface] fMouseCursorSpeed=1.0000 to another value, i do not see this entry in the vanilla default SkyrimPrefs.ini, above value 1.000 is what i found in my current game.hope this helps.. I'll try this. So... what value should I set the fMouseCursorSpeed to? Just something above 1.000? Edit: These didn't help at all. They just made the mousespeed way fast and didn't lessen the jitters. Edited February 24, 2012 by GrandMastaPimp
