SkjoldBjorn
When you apply scripts to any object included in the quest, apply the script directly to the item, i have used alias items for this and that did not work well for me, the alias is there to give an item a temporary state that will no longer excist after the quest...i know. But if you look at a lot of quests bethesda made, they also had quest scripts directly on many items, so unless you are using the note for something else later on i would suggest applying scripts directly on the item, keep the aliases however. I could take a look at it when i get back home from sweden later tonight, see if a fresh mind can spot the problem, i know how the brain sometimes get stuck if the frustration level of troubleshooting is high, easy to miss smaller or obvious things etc :)
jet4571
That would be much appreciated Sk8on. Notes on the script thats applied to the item. there are 2 of them for that type and neither would roll the quest to the next stage no matter what I did for the stage setting. it has the "quest" and "my stage" settings. i had the my stage set for the stage its used in and it rolled over in the quest I deleted but it wouldn't in the new version. tried changing the stage to the next one and nothing. had both in the alias and on the item and it still wouldn't roll over.
