Zzyxzz
Hello, how can i change the fire effect on the player/npc to blue? I've already figured out that FireFlameBasic03.dds is the color file and i edited it and the change worked ingame. But now i want to create a new type of molotov cocktail with a blue burning fire effect. I've copied the FireHitFXS and changed the FireFlameBasic03.dds to my FireFlameBlue.dds. Ive changed the hit shader effect of by new magic effect to the new hit shader. I've also edited the script. I really don't know what applies the flames to NPCs / the color
SMB92
I wonder if its like the workshop shader and buried in the fxp file, unchangeable.
Zzyxzz
To make it clearer: The FireHitFXS applies the flames and it does contain the FireFlameBasic03.dds. So i opened photoshop, edited to be blue. Placed the edited FireFlameBasic03.dds in my Data folder and my fire from the molotov was indeed blue. So i copied the FireHitFXS, named it FireBlueHitFXS. Opened it, replaced FireFlameBasic03.dds with the FireFlameBasic03.dds-blue version. FireFlameBlue.dds. Added it to the magic effect as Shader. Added it to the new item, which is a normal grenade and its red.... double checked it, FireBlueHitFXS is added correctly to the magic effect and does contain the FireFlameBlue.dds No idea why... Edit: It seems like the FireFlameBasic03.dds has no effect in FireHitFXS. Is it possible to somehow find out where else FireFlameBasic03.dds is used? Edit2: Lol.... nevermind... that was a good hint... the texture is chained within the nif. Changed it now with Nifscope. Never touched nifs/textures before.
