jnethery
I created a new interior cell, but I can't figure out how to display the name of the cell. For instance, if you are near the main gate to Anvil, a message will appear that says "Anvil Main Gate", to let you know where you are. I see the radius markings for this in the CS Render Window, but I can't figure out what is controlling it. Can someone please help me out? Thanks. jnethery
Hm....I think I figured it out. It's set through a map marker, so it has to be an exterior cell for this to work, right? Please let me know if this is correct or not.

Please let me know if this is correct or not. The game is supposed to display the name of the cell when you transport between interior and exterior cells automatically. there should be two names for the cell, the editorID and the exterior name that is displayed in game. The exterior name you will find in the interior data tab in the cell's property window. If you have an exterior name, then that should display when you load that interior cell. jnethery
Yeah, I got all that, but it doesn't display it. I really think it has to do with the fact that there are no door or map markers in the cell. You arrive there by magic spell and leave through portals. EDIT: I actually just went in and out of several different interiors in Anvil and it doesn't display the location name for any of them. It only seems to display the location info when you are within the radius (yellow circle in the CS) of map markers, and the CS will not let you place map markers in Interior spaces. There usually isn't any reason to show that information within interiors since you can see the interior name within the menu and when you activate any doors leading into the area. If you "must" have some message explaining where the player is when they get there, you can use scripts to display a message, or a message box when loading the area. Another oprion, depending on what sort of interior elements you're using, and how things relate to eachother is to just use a small worldspace with black sky, and constantly dark weather, having the statics far enough off the ground so that you won't know that you're actually in an exterior cell. Then you can use map markers or regions to display messages.
jnethery
Yeah, I considered that, but I really don't want to have to rebuild the place. You're right though, it doesn't really matter since you can see the name in the menu. Thanks for clarifying this for me!
