MrPicklees Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 Hello ! How I can change the collision of an NPC because I want to scale down a deathclaw but the collision do not scale... Where I can find collision in nifSkope and how can I change them ?
stonefisher Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 I dont beleive you can in nifskope. If its to be placed ingame you can use creation kit using the scaling field on a placed object. If you just want to replace the nif and have all deathclaws be smaller ingame, you need to make a new collision mesh in 3ds max 2013 or find someone to do it for you.
MrPicklees Posted July 10, 2017 Author Posted July 10, 2017 Thanks but with the scaling field it do not scale the collision. I just want to scale 1 deathclaw (it's a companion) but he can't pass through door or interior...
stonefisher Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 You could probably use nifskope to transfer a collision mesh from a human onto a deathclaw. Just make a custom deathclaw and shrink to human size in the nif and copy the collision mesh over.
MrPicklees Posted July 10, 2017 Author Posted July 10, 2017 Ok I will try that but how can I do that ? Copy the collision mesh over.
stonefisher Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 Hmm had a look cant seem to see a collision mesh on the deathclaw model. Maybe its done in a different way.
MrPicklees Posted July 10, 2017 Author Posted July 10, 2017 YES IT'S WORKING ! BIG THANKS TO YOU ! The collision was in the skeleton.nif !
stonefisher Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 OOOOHHHH ! Thats good to know. I could use that in my resizing mod. :) I just wonder how many custom player skeleton meshs are out there I would need to tweak.
ghostfc3s Posted November 9, 2018 Posted November 9, 2018 Sorry to revive a dead thread but this was all I could find. How did you go about copying the collision data? I was able to inject the collision data from on npc to another. It destroyed the animations however the "hit boxes" and bumping into the npc were the same as an unmodified file.
