Hi

Has anyone else had problems with opening the secret door, when pulling the chain at the Bear sign. I pulled the chain but the door did not open - did i miss something or is it a glitch?

There is probably a switch or puzzle that has been missed or maybe look outside for alternate entrance? You could do a Google search for " Halgrund Tomb Walkthru/Skyrim " Edited February 23, 2012 by goggles007

yes, i found a youtube walkthrough and it showed it being opened, as i was also trying

wondered if others had had same issue as me and if they managed to sort it

Do you mean Hillgrund’s Tomb?

Probably is a bug, because when you pull the chain near the bear you open the door ( isn't a door but is an entry for a coffin )

That never happened to me but try to reload a previous save. There's no other puzzle.

 

Proceeding past the spider room, you'll encounter a puzzle room and a another large wave of Draugr. After dispatching them look for the plaque with a bear on it, the chain attached to it will reveal the room's exit. The next room contains another tougher Draugr and a locked door with a chest behind it. It's also the last room before the showdown with Vals Veran.
