The current version of "No Weapon Degradation Enhanced Edition" is not missing anything and is identical to the 1.12.2 version of the file except for the degradation alterations (and the undocumented removal of night horde sense cooldown), so the file should still function properly.

As you didn't mention which weapon degradation or double xp mods you are using, perhaps you are not using the one mentioned above and are instead using the "Unlimited weapon durability and Double XP for Dying Light v1.10.0" available on the "Unlimited Weapon durability-Heal regeneration-Double XP-AIO" mod. If so, that file is still identical to the official 1.12.2 version of the file but with the appropriate changes (as well as also having the undocumented removal of night horde sense cooldown), so the file should still function properly.

If you instead installed the "Unlimited weapon durability for Dying Light v1.11.1" file and then installed the "XP x2" file over it, the XP x2 file replaced the durability changes made to the default_levels.xml file. You would need to use the combined version or manually combine the files from both into one for the XP and durability changes to exist in the same file.

If two mods alter the same file then you will need to manually merge the changes made to the file for both to be active, otherwise the mod that is installed second overwrites the other mod's version of the file.

Some more information on exactly which mod files you are using and, if applicable, the order in which they were installed into your Data3.pak file would be helpful.

That could be a clue, though it doesn't fit with the file working fine for so long and then suddenly not.

Inconsistent loading of files is usually a sign that a modified file was not added to the Data3.pak file with the proper compression.

As pak files are essentially zip files, you want to ensure that the proper compression is used so the game has no issue reading and loading the file.

If using WinRar (which I recommend, as well as ensuring a recent/the latest version of it is used), be sure to use 'Normal Compression' as the compression method in the pop up window when adding a file to the Data3.pak file.

Perhaps Techland changed something in the format of their pak files in the recent update that is causing the issue of your modded files being recognized and loaded inconsistently.

It may be best to start over with a new Data3.pak file and see if it solves the issue.

You will essentially need to just copy the files out of your current Data3.pak file and place them into a new pak file using 'Normal Compression' with WinRar.

This new pak file is just an empty "DataDLC17_1.pak" file from the "DW_DLC17" folder which is then renamed to Data3.pak.

A quick way to do this is to:

  1. Go to your game installation folder and enter the "DW_DLC17" folder
  2. Make a copy of the "DataDLC17_1.pak" file
  3. Go up a folder and then enter the DW folder where your Data3.pak file is located
  4. Place the copy of the "DataDLC17_1.pak" file you made here
  5. Using a newer/the newest version of WinRar, open your existing Data3.pak file
  6. Copy the 'data' folder from this Data3.pak file onto your desktop
  7. Close and delete the old Data3.pak file
  8. Rename the copy of "DataDLC17_1.pak" to "Data3.pak" and open it with WinRar
  9. Drag the 'data' folder from your desktop into this WinRar window and be sure to select 'Normal Compression' on the add file pop up window

As you will now be using a current official game pak file that is renamed to Data3.pak, and will have placed all of your modded files into it using Normal Compression, this should remove the potential issue of any inconsistent compression causing the problem, as well as if Techland made any changes to their pak file configuration.
