Item Modding Help

Hey all! I'm a former console Origins player who recently decided to revisit the game for the PC. Let me just say, I love what you've done with the place - I think I'm concurrently running >20 mods, stably, with minimal problems setting up. It really makes an awesome game even bigger and better.

 

I'd like to make my own small, belated contribution to the game, but I think I need a hand. Essentially, I want to do the following:

 

(1) Create two item sets and one additional piece of equipment (6 total equippable items)

(2) Have each of the 6 total items drop 100% of the time from a corresponding enemy in the game.

 

I think I sort of have a handle on the first half of the first part. Downloaded the toolset, found where it said "create an item," toyed with that a little. Seems like the resources I thought would be there are there. No idea how to actually get the resulting item OUT of the toolset and properly into a file I can stare at, but that's part of what I'm asking.

 

I don't even know how where to find creatures, the loot they drop, or how to edit that, anywhere, though. Let alone mod it and upload.

 

I'd love a little direction on this, or for some kind soul to point me to the proper resources. I googled around a bit, but the toolset wiki seems a tad barebones, and the one video I found was 2.5 minutes of woefully incomplete explanation.

 

In case anyone's interested, what I'd essentially like to do is as follows: Add 6 pieces of (balanced, lore-friendly) Arcane Warrior gear to the game, and have it drop sequentially off the Revenants in the "Black Vials" quasi-quest. Item Set A: One sword using the Dar-Misu/Spellweaver model, one shield (ideally directly replacing the Dead Coat of Arms with different name and stats, and ideally, the heraldry removed). Item Set B: Gaunlets, Greaves, and Chestpiece of a reskinned Ancient Elven Armor set (just Silverite or Aurum instead of Veridium, with different bonsuses). Standalone: One helm, probably reskinned Ancient Elven.

I've got the names, descriptions, lore, and balance pretty much worked out - I just want to wear something other than the Evon's Mail + Maric's Blade combo, with a little more flavor, without making the spec even more OP. If anyone wants to argue prospective stats, or make such a mod themselves, I'd be happy to discuss the details further.

I did actually figure out where the toolset outputs the created item. I'm really just trying to figure out how to set up a drop, I guess? If anyone could point me to a mod that makes a specific item drop from a specific character, I'd love to open one up and look.
