k so i am one who has more than a few mods lol, and it was all fine until i added maybe 2 more, upon booting up oblivion it would just crash to desktop, so i took the mods off that i loaded (and a few that i never use) and booted it again, now all it does is when it gets to the menu loading screen the bar moves a bit then stops loading....any ideas? i tried reinstalling but that did not help (then again all my mods n stuff were still in the data folder after reinstalling)

Unless you have over 200 mods loaded and active, or less than 2gb ram (1gb if you aren't using any very large mods (OOO, MMM, Frans, ect), it probably isn't the number of mods loaded, but which ones you recently added. The actual data files would only cause a problem if you were doing something previously in relation to changing the opening movies, or the scrolling map shown on the main menu, but disabled that one. It's more likely a conflict of some sort, in which case you should probably get OBMM, and run a conflict checker.

mmmmmm i do only have 1gb of ram but i doubt i have 200 mods lol, the only mod i have that plays with anything in the menus or videos is the lost spires, and even then all it adds is their logo video before oblivion loads, i recently turned it off but i think my oblivion was working fine after i turned it off so, ill go double check it though

UPDATE: well upon reactivating lost spires the loading screen loads a little further than it did, but it took about 5 minutes to get there
