It is not vanished, It just falling through the ground, cause there is no collision detection. So far this is what I get here. But I don't know how to create a collision detection, sorry, I just copy the branch from an other .nif.

In my case I just installed new textures on a copy of the steelbow.nif I didn't change anything else. Also if I place the bow in a cell it exists, and can be kicked around like any other object. This problem only occurs when I drop the item.

yeah, I used the original .nif files too. I just changed the file names and then the textures with nifskope. I didn't change/tamper with any of the meshes. Weird that my hunting bow mod works like it should but the Imperial doesn't. Tried deleting everything and doing it all over again about 4 times and still the same issues.

I could be wrong, but I don't think bows have a 1st person model. I think they just use the one. Let me look.

Yep, if you search 1stPersonElvenBow under ALL in the CK, you'll find the STAT form that holds the info for a 1st person model (as pointed to by the Weapon form). It lists Weapons\Elven\ElvenBowSkinned.nif.

Now, I can't even get my damn bow in game, one way or another. At least you've got that much done.

All this nif block juggling is taking a big ol' s*** on my workflow. I really hope the Devs give us another option, say a 3DS Max exporter that sets up the nif properly, or someone makes a tool to automate the handling of nifs.
