Have mods like these already been made?

So before I start looking into try and make them and drive myself mad, do any of the following mods already exist:

Mount speed.
- Increased mount gallop movement speed.
Chain Lightning SFX.
- Replace electrical SFX with thunder crack SFX.
Blizzard SFX dampen.
- Dampen the SFX so it is less deafening when fighting in the middle of it.
Human male warrior to Blackwall armor swap.
- Basically a swap for the human heavy armor parts to use Blackwalls much cooler armor parts (why do the NPCs always get the cool gear in this game).
I have tried making some of them work but no luck so far  (spend 3 hours swapping hashes for the Blackwall armors with nothing to show for )

With regards

DT

Can't say anything about SFX mods, but I know there's been discussion about mount speed and no one knows how to fix. (I totally agree it need fixing! :pinch: )

As for any Companion Armour mods, there's a problem. They don't realty "wear" things. They have special bits of code that modifiy whatever they *are* wearing so as to be immediately identifiable as belonging to *that* companion.

Here's an early quote on the issue from Mike Laidlaw, published in GameRant well before release:

Laidlaw isn’t budging on the importance of giving companion characters a preset appearance, but revealed that at this time, they are planning to give at least some customization abilities to the player.

"Followers will continue to have iconic appearances. Similar to DAII, their outfits will be more “full body” rather than parts-based (like Hawke or the DAO followers), and these armors will be unique to the followers. This decision allows us to give the followers appearances that “break the rules,” such as isabela’s boots coming over the knee, or Merril’s gloves coming seamlessly up her arms. Ultimately, we believe that the strong visual identity given to characters by iconic appearances is an important part of their identity.

“Followers will have more than one appearance. Whether they be unlocked by advancing the core story, plot reward, some crazy ass crafting quest, romance or completing a personal plot, we would like the followers to have more than one appearance over the course of the game. To do show allows them to progress, grow and react to changing circumstances, all of which help us tell a visual story with the followers.”

It’s hard to argue with the development team’s reasons for keeping the changes intact, but if each companion is given at least a few different outfits to choose from, it would go a long way in at least giving some sense of player choice. It’s certainly more similar to Mass Effect 2 than Origins, but it’s better than nothing. Still, seeing a follower’s armor progress from light, to heavy and up to the baddest of the bad could be satisfying, even if they are preset outfits.

So figuring out how to replicate the "look" of Blackie's gear is very... complicated!

According to the one guide I read, it wasn't so difficult, but for some reason it wasn't working for me

Hey tsm; Kewl. Is that just his "base" armour? (Obviously I haven't used... Don't much like Blackwall/Rainier! )

I've never actually used it, Thandal. (Haven't even played DAI since my GPU fritzed out and killed my computer, just after Trespasser was released.)

No, I just remembered seeing the Blackwall file a while back, and a search on 'equip blackwall armor' proved my memory isn't completely shot.

As far as I can tell so far it's all his part based armors used to swapped so the human male will use them instead of the default ones, I look way more like a knight / warrior now with all this glorious chainmail armor hehe, previously most of them looked like leather armor with bits of chain here and there :P

All full body armors are the same as before ofc, as Blackwall also uses those models ;)

Sadly I can't get the RnR outfit to work (PJ as you guys call it), funny enough it also crashed my game when I tried to make it myself, so I might have been on the right track after all, it's just something else not making it possible

Instead of starting a new topic I thought I would ask here, anyone know if someone has made a tint map "fix" for the medium griffon armor?

As in a fix so you can tint the hideous cloth parts :)
