Purple textures for candles and candle related items.

Recently I reinstalled my Skyrim and used The Skyrim Ultimate Modding Guide - Graphics for graphical updates. When I started a new game, I saw purple road textures under the cart. So I reinstalled Immersive Roads. That fixed it. Later, when I am playing the game, I see candle pillars, lanterns, candle holders nailed to the wall, all of them purple. So I reinstalled Ruin Clutter Improved. That did nothing. So I reinstalled Horncandles. Nothing happened. I decided to ignore it for some time and finish the Helgen Keep dungeon.
In the helgen Keep dungeon, I saw those small cave "stage" or something also purple. For eg, the platform on which the skeleton with the coin purse was before the bear, its edge was purple. Not the whole structure. I ignored it. Then I finished the cave and went to Riverwood. No problem in the nature and environment. But there, in the village, the lanterns were purple as well. I had a custom follower installed. His cuirass was the thieves guild cuirass and it had missing textures or the purple textures as well. Not the whole armor set, just the cuirass. I ask as to what mods could be causing the problem? My load order is given in the lines that follow -

P.S. My custom follower was Bishop from Skyrim Romance 3.0.


Coukd you point out some mods or load orders that might potentially be causing the issue? I have LOOT and Tes5dit installed as well. I have used LOOT but not Tes5dit yet.

Ignoring the mod order for more obvious reasons, have you done either of the following:

 

1. If you're on Steam, have you tried validating the game's files?

 

or

 

2. Have you reset Archive Invalidation? I haven't heard of ever needing AI in Skyrim before, I think, but I do remember it being a big problem back in FO3 and FNV where after installing anything that modifies textures it would be a very safe practice to reset AI so textures don't glitch or end up missing.

 

Other than those it seems like it could possibly be Vivid Landscapes, although I've never used that mod nor have I had this specific problem. I did have a problem where some textures were completely missing, but the only place I encountered this was Labyrinthian. I don't exactly remember what I did, but it was 1 of 3 things. 1. Restart the game, 2. Reinstall all mods + reset AI, 3. reset AI. It was like two weeks ago though and like I said I don't remember what I did.

I uninstalled vivid Landscapes and reinstalled ELFX and that seems to have solved the lanterns and the armor, however the dungeons are still glitchy the platform works fine, however the candle holders are not working. Edited July 16, 2017 by rishukingler11

Well, beyond a complete reinstall of Skyrim and all mods, I'm out of further advice for you. It could be just a corrupted file, or a messed up configuration, a very tiny chance of being due to your graphics card rendering the textures or some other piece of your machine trying to load the textures and failing. I don't know your situation though, and it's probably safer to assume that it's not any of your computer's bits.

 

Did you try resetting the Archive Invalidation?
