Transferring Mods to Reinstalled NV

The statement "the launcher was removed for no reason" is a very scary thing to read. There really is no such thing as "no reason". There are "unexplained, unexpected reasons", which are bad enough. Some are out of your control (such as disk failure) and some are because you did something without realizing the consequences. In the normal course of events there is no reason for the game launcher to be removed. (There are actually several ways to launch the game, depending upon what you have installed and where.)

First thing you want to do is run a "Chkdsk" on your drive to ensure you don't have other problems waiting to bite you again. Search the web on that term and your version of Windows to find how to run it, but in general terms it is under "Properties" of each drive letter (C:, D:, etc.) in Windows Explorer, and then under the "Tools" tab as "Error Checking".

As for your old modded game, it might be possible. Depends upon several things such as: your original install location and where you re-installed the game, if you were using a "mod manager" and which one, where the downloaded mod files were stored and where they were then installed to (which varies according to which mod manager you used). Provide some details such as the full path name to where the files (old and new) are located.

OTOH, if you were having any problems with your old game, suggest you look upon this as an opportunity to learn how to do things correctly and start over. In that case start by reading the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article.
