Goat Bed From Hell!

I walk into my house one day to find that the bed in my Housecarl's room has a lifesource and makes goat noises (chewing and baahing). I have no idea what mod I could possibly have downloaded that could have done this.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Obviously your housecarl killed at goat at some point in his life and now its ghost has returned to haunt him. :ninja:

Anyway have you tried bringing up the console, selecting the offending source and typing disable ?

I have tried disabling it, killing it , burning it, slashng it, shooting arrows at it, shouting at it... nothing. It may be that because the bed is affected by mods I am unable to disable it as I would any other vanilla furniture.

The bed in in the Breezehome if that helps.

Move your character somewhere outside of Breezehome, make a new save then exit the game and disable all mods, load the game and enter Breezehome again and see if the problem persists. If the ghostly goat is gone then you'll know that one of your mods is the culprit.

And then I could re-activate my mods and reload from where I was before... I suppose that could work. It is going to be a pain with all the mods I have, but I'll see if I can't get around to that.

Troubleshooting mods can be a serious pain in the rear. Remember that you can also use the Creation Kit and check the details of your .esp files, if one of them changes anything in the Breezehome cell that mod would be a prime suspect for the problem you're experiencing.
