Mongolbarn
I've encountered a visual glitch at the location of the wreck of the ice runner quest. I originally stumbled upon it on my 140+ modded SSE, but have since done a full reinstall of Skyrim because I was unable to figure out the problem, even after uninstalling all my mods one by one. However now with a fresh install of Skyrim Special edition the problem still persist, so I wonder if this is a bug with SSE itself or if there's something else at play Location: http://imgur.com/mPT9EBG Third Person view of location from above: http://imgur.com/XaX1eNr First Person view without the glitch: http://imgur.com/7xyGGUN First Person view with the glitch (looking slightly more left from same position): http://imgur.com/xmK1PHN First Person view without the glitch looking east towards the barrow: http://imgur.com/nzXmJDP First Person view the glitch looking east towards the barrow: http://imgur.com/3NQD4EA First Person view the glitch looking east towards the barrow: http://imgur.com/aS0c09D First Person view the glitch looking east towards the barrow: http://imgur.com/GIs63ds Third Person underwater view without the glitch: http://imgur.com/0rZk8sV Third Person underwater view with the glitch: http://imgur.com/ecXrI2C As seen above the landscape fails to render (Trees and grass renders fine) The glitch seems exclusive to the point of view of those particular clusters of rocks, with varied results of rendered landscape depending on where you look, from that position. I would be interested in hearing if anyone else can reproduce this, or if someone might know what else could be causing this
WastelandAssassin
this seems like an LOD bug with your gamecan't recall if I ever saw it in this place , but such bugs do happen if you open the game again , and go to the same place , does the problem persist?because there are problems where the game fails to load meshes\textures if it uses too much memory (at least I think that's the cause , but I do recall such bugs) also , are you sure your reinstall is a "fresh" install?have you removed all mod files from the installation folder before reinstalling the game?because things like this could happen due to a mod breaking something , and the files could remain in your foldernot really likely that this is the cause (at least I don't think it is) , but it could be
Mongolbarn
I'm sure It's a fresh install, I tediously uninstalled all mods through nexus manager one by one, I then deleted Skyrim. Also I deleted all Skyrim related folders in both Common, and my games The issue does persist not matter if I make a new game, or return to the location. I am almost convinced this is a problem with Skyrim special edtion itself and affects all users. But like I said it's only glitches in that specific spot in Skyrim, haven't got any issues anywhere else
WastelandAssassin
well , I've played SE , but I can't recall if I've been to the specific spotbut I definitely don't recall seeing this problem in my game...... have you verified game integrity?I'm really quite lost on this issue...... can't think of any cause to thisunless you somehow did something with your game files? Mongolbarn
Like I said I did a full reinstall deleting everything and then installing again. And you wouldn't have seen this except if you had been to that exact place in Skyrim (less than mean 1m2 )looking around, all other places there is no issues
