HallaNeva
Hello everybody, I have a problem which is driving me crazy and I hope that someone of you is able to help. I started to work with the Creation kit (modding Breezehome). Right from the start when I chose the original vanilla Breezehome cell I got a warning that a roof section is missing a glow map. There should be small 'openings' in the roof where light can come through but since the glow map is missing my roof lacks these simulated glowing openings and therefore the room seems to be quite gloomy. - In the beginning I didn't bother since I didn't understand what the warning meant. But then I saw screenshots of other mods which always had these nice openings in the roof and started to wonder why I don't have them. - The glow map actually never seemed to work in the game either. During my first visit in Breezehome I thought that the bedroom is quite uncozy due to the lack of windows. - So even before I started to use the creation kit there must have been something wrong...I don't know what happened there. And even more important: has anyone an idea how I could get hold of that glow map and how to import it into my mod and the original vanilla cell? Do I have to reinstall the game or is there another solution? Thanks for your help!
Sunnie
You might try deleting the Skyrim - Textures.BSA , do a cache check and acquiring a new copy from Steam. I had an issue like that a while ago where every time I tried to go through a cave to get to a word wall, the game would crash when I look in a certain direction (which just happened to be the direction I needed to go). I deleted teh meshes and textures bsa and got a fresh copy and the issue disappeared.
HallaNeva
Hello Sunnie, thanks for your help. I followed your advice and deleted the textures.bsa and replaced it with a fresh one and in addition I deinstalled and deleted every mod and texture folder I had for Whiterun. I tested the game and - oh wonder! - the glow map was there :) After the testing I reinstalled some of the Whiterun mods again and the glow maps were still there. So either your solution worked or one of the mods / the texture folder for Whiterun which I didn't install again originally caused the problem. Anyway: thanks a lot for your help and the fast reply to my post!
