Xenon32
The following scenario is not meant to be consistent with either the Elder Scrolls lore or the Myst lore. It's meant to be its own original story within its own universe; only drawing on certain aspects of each aforementioned universe for the sake of storytelling and entertainment purposes. Picture this: A warm, shallow, azure sea. From it, rises a massive natural rock spire, surrounded by other, smaller spires and floating islands. Built upon, around and within these ancient spires and islands, architecture wedded to the landscape, is a small community; the last remnants of a once-thriving civilization. The residents here are unique; possessed of an ancient and complex form of magic, given to them by the Gods at the beginning of time. Through this gift, they are able to transform themselves at will, taking the form of various creatures; some natural, some unnatural. In the past, they have used this skill in times of conflict, for hiding from invaders and defending their borders from external threats. Until now, that is. Now, the Gift is dying out; inexplicably becoming inconsistent among the population. Over the past decades, fewer and fewer children have been born with it. And, to make matters worse, a new conflict is escalating: A clan long-thought to have died out has returned, intent on revenge and dominance; on righting an age-old wrong done to them by the people of the island spire many generations ago. As the player, you you are thrust into the middle of this whole ordeal; onto the front lines of a rekindled blood-feud thought to be long over. Assisted by a young priestess with extraordinary power, you work to uncover the mystery behind the disappearance of the Gift and to defend the people of the island spire from onslaught and extinction. --- This is obviously just a basic overview of the premise, with a lot of details left out, both about the story and about the gameplay features. I'm also not sure whether I'm actually going to undertake this project or not; I haven't decided yet. If enough people think it would be a cool or interesting mod, then I might. I'd be even more likely to undertake it if people were interested in collaborating and helping out on it, on top of being interested in playing it. So, yeah. What do you all think? Any and all thoughts, comments, questions, criticisms and suggestions are welcome. Edited February 25, 2012 by Xenon32
jet4571
Simple Comment your intro was great. just enough details to make someone want to know the place and to discover its secrets. You mentioned Myst and the intro did sound written in the same tone. i think its a better idea than something like another werewolf mod or a Stargate one. Also its a new story with new characters rather than rehashing the same story and same characters. If you create it i will probably play it. Xenon32
so it will be like shiwering isles (by that i mean a new world in skyrim axesible by spell or portal)Yeah, that's what I was thinking. It'll be a (compared to Skyrim, anyway) a very small world, though; broken up into relatively compact 'Ages' (distinct areas, or distinct cell groups, in this case) like in the Myst series.
