skyrimguy14164
So I recently started moding Fallout 4 and after some optimization (F4 texture optimization) I loaded up the game only to find it running at 30 FPS(the starting house) and 20 ( Vault 111)Is there something important that I missed or is my computer that bad?I am using ENB boost and LOOT( which for some reason whenever I click sort plugins always says sorting made no change to the load order)My PC specs are:Intel® Core™ i7-4790S CPU @ 3.20 GHz 3.20 GHzRAM: 12.0 GBSystem: 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processorGraphic Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 745Running windows 10-64 bitDedicated Video RAM:4096 MBGame folder:E:\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4Free Hard Drive Space:34,4 GB My load order:Fallout4.esm=1DLCRobot.esm=1DLCworkshop01.esm=1DLCCoast.esm=1DLCworkshop02.esm=1DLCworkshop03.esm=1DLCNukaWorld.esm=1Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch.esp=1ArmorKeywords.esm=1ConcealedArmor.esm=1HUDFramework.esm=1SpringCleaning.esm=1Companion Infinite Ammo.esp=1ValdacilsItemSorting-00-ValsPicks-DLCVersion.esp=1Armorsmith Extended.esp=1InteriorsEnhanced-All-In-One.esp=1Eli_Armour_Compendium.esp=1Vivid Waters.esp=1RBUNK.esp=1DPAssaultCarbine.esp=1DPAssaultCarbineNukaWorld.esp=1Armorsmith All DLCs Patch.esp=1ConcealedArmor.esp=1CROSS_GoreCrits.esp=1CROSS_GoreCrits_FarHarborPatch.esp=1llamaCompanionHeather.esp=1DOOMDesertEagle.esp=1dD-Enhanced Blood.esp=1EveryonesBestFriend.esp=1Immersive HUD.esp=1LongerPowerLinesInf.esp=1More Where That Came From Diamond City.esp=1OCDecorator.esp=1OCDispenser.esp=1OCDecorator - No Experience.esp=1OCDecoratorDLC.esp=1Pip-Boy Flashlight.esp=1PIP-Pad.esp=1PIP-Pad_Pip-BoyFlashlight.esp=1AzarPonytailHairstyles.esp=1Quieter Settlements - Vanilla.esp=1Quieter Settlements - Wasteland Workshop.esp=1Quieter Settlements - Contraptions.esp=1RightHandedHuntingRifle.esp=1RU556.esp=1RU556AWKCR.esp=1SCAR-L.esp=1DOOM1911.esp=1DD_bleu_Ump_Extreme_Lore_friendly_edition.esp=1ASVektor.esp=1M14.esp=1M2216.esp=1DOOMLK05.esp=1BetterJunkFences.esp=1Tactical Flashlights.esp=1 Thanks in advance BTW: This has been happening in the vanila game also but i threw in the load order just in case Edited July 17, 2017 by skyrimguy14164
L3s7ing
I don't know if the fps should be that bad, but your gpu isn't the best for 1080p and upwards gaming. Would be good to know what your ingame settings are. Some options heavily decrease fps without adding too much visual quality.Regardless I would probably blame the gpu. MightyZ0G
yea, I have a GeForce GTX 750 Ti and a steady 60fps is out of the question.I set my resolution at 1366 x 768, turned off post processing I can live without (motion blur, DoF, godrays) and set my frame limit to 30 fps.it isn't ideal but it does give smoother gameplay with less stutters. as for mods that hurt performance. if you made the ini edits for spring cleaning then you are going to suffer badly. pre combined meshes are used to optimise areas with lots of objects and buildings. turning that off in the ini files turns off that optimisation everywhere in the Fallout worldspace.any other mods you have that require you to turn of precombined objects or meshes will have the same negative effect vivid waters adds lots and lots of detail to water, but most of the time water is avoided in gameplay so you could get a few fps back there. if the pip-boy or pip pad flashlights have options to cast shadows, turn that OFF as that will hammer your fps as well, especially if you get lots of NPC's wearing combat helmets or mining helmets wandering around as they will all cast shadows too hope something in that lot will be useful
SMB92
Do the following: 1. Turn Fallout 4 default Vsync OFF - you can do this in launcher or FalloutPrefs.ini - find iPresentInterval = 1 and set to 0 2. In Nvidia control panel, set Vsync to ON and Maximum Prerendered frames to 1. 3. Profit (as much as possible on that 745).
