Hi im new to modding and im trying to create a mod were all enchantment are found in books instead of weapons/ Armor and jewelry and i wonder how i can enchant books and make so they can be learnd like spell books or disenchant them like normal. Do they all need to be scripted?. If so it would be appreciated if you could recomend me to some sites or explain if it is even possible to do something like that ?. Maybe i am little water over my headbut i rly want to try.

Thanks in advance.

At a cursory glance in the creation kit, it looks like the answer is no. When you open up a piece of armour or weapon, there is an option to add an enchantment (either on the base object, or on a copy of it), in addition to there being a copy of every enchanted item. The same window, when opening a book, has none of those options.

The shortest answer to your question is that while it may be possible, it can only be done using scripts, and it might not even be possible without SKSE (which, assuming you're using SSE, does not exist yet), and from what I know about scripting, it's an incredibly tedious, difficult, and infuriating process. The answer that will help you the most is that this is absolutely not a project for a beginner modder. Personally, I'd recommend trying to make a dungeon or house mod (try the creationkit.com website for a tutorial), because what you're asking for would take a boatload of script that would make my head numb. Sorry that I can't give you a better answer or more help :l It looks like you'll have to settle for enchanting ye olde fashioned way for now. I do like this idea though! I know there's a mod for SLE that allows you to learn alchemy recipes from books, so it might be possible to learn enchantments too, but for Special Edition, that's a long way off. Hope this helps!

Okey thanks for the answer. I figured as mouch that scripts would be needed on this idea of mine. Guess i will need more experience on the subject and wait for skse64bit to come out. Can probobly try this on classic skyrim after i learnd how to script while waiting for the skse64bit.

Thanks again for the answer, now i know what i need to learn before trying this mod.

I'd still say try the basic CK tutorial first, but it's a good idea to decide that you want to get into Papyrus too. I'd rather familiarize myself with the CK first because it's easier to learn, and a better introduction to modding. Like I said before, just open up creationkit.com, click on Skyrim, and navigate to the tutorials. It'll get into script tut's later on, but I find it to be a little overwhelming. Good luck! Have fun learning to mod!!
