kurosawaftw7
I know there are many weapon mods out there on Nexus, but since I have no modding experience I thought this would be cool. For those not familiar, the G11 was a prototype assault rifle developed by Heckler and Koch from the 1970s to 1990s that was intended to be mass produced and fielded for standard issue. It fired revolutionary caseless ammunition and had a three round hyperburst feature that enabled very accurate burst fire. This rifle never got any contracts for many reasons and HK has since abandoned the project. Here is a video of the prototype in testing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_didDgUjn0Apparently, the rifle was featured in Fallout 2, and there is a mod that adds it and its caseless ammunition to New Vegas, complete with burst fire. I imagine that any mod that added the weapon would also add the ammunition it used to the game, and would include custom reload animations, which could be modeled after this video: https://youtu.be/UoTU-X0qbnQ?t=58s What I think makes this unique is the burst fire component and the way that the real life weapon behaves in this fire mode. I have yet to see a FO4 mod do burst fire, but maybe I'm wrong. If the burst fire was accurate to what is seen in the first video, then the three rounds fired would be fairly on target and the user would feel a large amount of recoil at the end of the burst. With the game's modification system, I imagine the user could convert between semi, burst and full auto, and the rate of fire could change accordingly. Many other mods such as magazine capacity, suppressor/muzzle brake, receiver types, optic types and even an internal recoil buffer in the stock could be added. I have no modding ability, but I think this could be something really cool, and anyone who wants to tackle this is more than welcome to use my ideas. 003roger
I'm seconding this request! There are some others request for the G11. I really would like to see that classical weapon in FO4! I am not familiarized with modding, but I don't know if it's possible to extract the 3D model and texture from Call of Duty Black Ops 1, and to ''convert'' the files for FO4? (Even the reloading animation from COD BO maybe?) It should be a bunch of works to modding a new weapon, but it seems to be better to have something already started instead to start from zero. MightyZ0G
I don't know if it's possible to extract the 3D model and texture from Call of Duty Black Ops 1, and to ''convert'' the files for FO4?those models belong to EA and they won't give permission for them to be used in a mod.it is sometimes known as asset flipping and is against the law. if someone wanted to make a mod of this for FO4 they would have to make their own models in a 3D program (blender or 3dmax), then create animations and put them all together to work in the game. Ah ok good point! I did not see on this way! I was saying that because for example, on GTA V, there is a lot of cars mod where the 3D model and texture are coming from Forza video game. Witch Forza belong to Microsoft I think, and GTA V belong to Rockstar Games. I never though about the copyright. MightyZ0G
you won't see many more mods for GTA V now that Take Two have put a stop to GTA modding :(
