Armor Light Mod

I don't know if this is possible, or of it something that can be made into a mod, but it would be great if you could turn your armor light off and on whenever you wanted to, instead of it only come on when the game decides to turn it on. It's also annoying that it's stuck to your chest (?) instead of say, your helmet so the light illuminates what your looking at instead of having to twist and turn to get it to shine on something you want to look at.

 

So not sure if it's possible, but if one of you talented modders could figure out how to do it, that would be great.
