JQ - Assassin Quest

Sorry if i posted this in the wrong forum, i'm new here..

 

but since it might contain spoilers for others, i reckoned this was the best place

 

anyway, i recently downloaded a new mod called JQ - assasin quest

this is a mod that gives you certain targest you must kill, and then u get rewarded

 

My question goes out to people who have already played this, since i don't think others will be able to help

 

i'm stuck on the first hit (meh..)

I have to kill this guy in bruma, but from where-ever i shoot (1-shot kill) the guards find out it's me..

I tried slipping him a poisoned apple, but that didn't work either

 

I don't wanna use lame stuff like 100% chameleon or slipping him an 0 weight item that kills him, so do you guys have any ideas?

 

(the "kill" command ir sth i'd rather not use either..)

I'm currently playing Assassin's Quest as well, and you might run in to a few other problems with some of the later hits. PM me, I'll see if I can help (for instance, hit 8 just will not work. I took a look at the quest in the CS and it seems like something wasn't set up correctly for that hit).

 

As for the Bruma hit: I use Reneer's Guard overhaul. What level is your character? Is Sneak a major skill? I had to stalk the Wood Elf and wait for him to wander somewhere convenient; then I had to wait for the guards to not be looking. It takes patience, but it can be done.

I ended up killing him with console, becuase I must've tried about 20 times to kill him, always some guard could find me.

I tried using an invisibility potion after the shot, but even when I'm invisible the guard spotted me.

I did: fire, go invis, arrow hits, i pop out of invis for some reason, go invis, guard finds me..

 

sneak's not a major skill but I am a stealth character (didn't put sneak in major so it was easyer to raise marksman without leveling too fast, i'm a bowman..)

I'm lvl 9, but with an enchanted arrow I could kill him with one shot. Even when I shot from up a roof they tracked me down.

 

guess i'll need some non-pshychic guard mod to make it work..
