ebuhawk Posted February 26, 2012 Share Posted February 26, 2012 So, I was changing some mods yesterday (deleting some, adding new ones, etc.) when, after removing a certain mod and playing the game, I found that every time I opened my magic menu, the game would crash! Problem is: I can't remember which one I removed! I know that's the problem, since every save this happens on says that it relies on content that is no longer available, but I have a save that goes way back and DOESN'T rely on that content, so I can open my magic menu. So I figure that if I reinstall the mod, I'll be able to open it again. Has anyone noticed this crashing problem with other mods? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
MShoap13 Posted February 26, 2012 Share Posted February 26, 2012 Chances are it's a plugin that adds spells to the game. If this is the case, reapplying the plugin then using the console command (player.removespell RefID) saving your game without the spells that mod adds, then deactivating the plugin should allow you to uninstall it. ebuhawk Posted February 27, 2012 Author Share Posted February 27, 2012 (edited) Problem is, I think the plugin added a shout. Was called "inferno storm" if I did end up finding it. It still happens. I'm going to try to remove the knowledge of the words from my character. IF player.removeword or player.forgetword is a real command. However, I've narrowed it to my accidental uninstall of Midas magic, since, when I reinstall it and try to load a save, the game crashes. UGH.
