Danzarlo
Hey ive seen farm mods of all kinds but no one has created a nirnroot farm i understand that they are meant to be rare but to be honest the lore doesn't say anything that should lead you to think that nirnroots shouldn't be farm able so why has no one done it? and if you do make this can you make it a player home it should be for a magic player thanks in advance Danzarlo. capngagi
No one's done it because it's in the Vanilla game.
PikaNikz
I think Capngagi is talking about Sarethi Farm (you see it during a quest involving Crimson Nirnroot that you find in Blackreach). Sarethi Farm has the largest collection of farmable Nirnroots I've ever seen but there are only 8 of them there. I've just finished making a mod and I'm starting a new one. It's simply a new player house - a quaint but slightly eclectic Dwarven farmhouse somewhere in the west, built into the side of a mountain so I can make the inside whatever I want to to look like, and it should be near a water source. It will have stables, all crafting equipment and a lot of storage containers and small details reflecting the themes of being a collector and a farmer in Skyrim. I like your idea of a large Nirnroot farm. It would be fitting to add that to this place and I could also include Crimson Nirnroot. I do not know if I can set the respawn rate to be really fast. I will try to find that setting. I think 1 day or 6 hours would be fast enough. But I could also put one Nirnroot and one Crimson Nirnroot in pots inside the house and maybe those I could set to instantly refresh when harvested. What do you think, Sir Wallder? I'll even add a shovel with your name on it.. or something like that.
Danzarlo
I love the idea if you could do that i would be honored but if you do make a spade with a my name put danzarlo instead of sirwallder :P
PikaNikz
I've made some progress on this and I took some screen captures to show you what it's looking like. http://image.bayimg.com/pamkeaado.jpghttp://image.bayimg.com/pamkdaado.jpg The sound of 94 nirnroot is absolutely overbearing. I'm going to make a copy of the original object and remove the sound, and maybe the glow. The smaller house is going to be setup so you don't have to "load screen travel" to go inside it. You'll be able to open the door and walk in. Probably will be crafting stuff in there. The main house will have personal storage. There is a lot of work left to do but I wanted to get some basic things made so I could show you and get feedback if you have any ideas or requests while I'm working on it. I found a really nice area. There isn't any flat ground so I'm making a stone terrace for the crops. A few of the stones are secret storage containers. The previews are low quality but it's a beautiful place. You can fast travel to Swindlers Den and walk north a short distance to find the area I'm working in.
